Private Lessons

With private in-home lessons, you can learn at your own pace in a comfortable environment and have the convenience of flexibly fitting training into your busy schedule. We can cover the all the basics (such as: sit, down, loose leash walking, sitting politely for greetings, stay, leave-it, recall) and any other behaviors that are important to you. Tail Waggin’ Dog Training will provide you with goal setting, instruction, demonstration, coaching, custom homework, and handouts.

Puppy Jumpstart

Learn to get your puppy off to the right start with proper housetraining, socialization skills, manage normal puppy behaviors (chewing, mouthing, and biting behavior), and fundamental obedience training.

The foundation that you give your puppy in his first weeks at home will set the stage for the future. For example, if your puppy learns to chew the right things now, you probably won’t have a big chewing problem later on when he’s bigger. Also, if your puppy gets used to people touching his feet, teeth, eyes, tail etc., then he’ll probably have an easier time going to the vet or groomer.

Puppy Jumpstart is a package of three sessions meeting at your home with your family. We will go over your concerns about your furry little bundle of joy and give you step-by-step instructions, demonstrations, coaching, and the training tools you need to manage each situation.

• Special Puppy Jumpstart package of 3 sessions is $115.00
• Follow-up Puppy sessions are $45.00 per hour.

Basic Obedience

Tail Waggin' Dog Training offers basic obedience training for dogs of any age.

Generally, basic obedience training includes the following:

• Sit
• Down
• Stay
• Come
• Stand
• Loose Leash Walking
• Attention
• Leave it
• Off (No Jumping Up)

Depending upon your training priorities and goals, Tail Waggin' Dog Training will develop a training program specifically for you and your dog. Each session lasts one hour and includes hands-on training exercises to address the specific obedience issues that you are experiencing with your dog.

• Basic Obedience is $45.00 per hour.
• Basic Obedience package of 3 sessions is $120.00
• Basic Obedience package of 6 sessions is $240.00.

Training Walks

Do you have a dog that could use a refresher course on leash manners or leave-it? Does your dog 'bolt' when taken off-leash and has trouble coming back to you when called? I can come to your home or meet you at a park for a training walk, a great way to incorporate training and exercise!

• Training Walks are $45.00 per hour.

Behavior Counseling

Common dog behavior problems include shyness, fear, aggression, digging, and separation anxiety. After an initial behavior evaluation over the phone or email, Tail Waggin’ Dog Training will develop a custom behavior modification plan for you and your dog. You will receive step-by-step training or management solutions, to achieve your training goals.

• Behavior Counseling is $55.00 per hour.
