GOOD DOG 2 - This advanced class is for dogs who has completed GOOD DOG 1 or a previous basic obedience class. Just some of the things that we will be learning in class are: Retrieving, Targeting, Signal control from a distance, Emergency down, Backing up, and Scent work. - Dogs should be under control in the presence of other dogs.
FLYBALL 1 - Are you looking for a fast and exciting sport to introduce to your dog? Flyball provides an entertaining and active way to interact with your dog in an environment that is fun and allows the dogs exercise and enjoyment. Flyball is a sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from a start/finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring loaded pad, then back to their handler while carrying the ball. Flyball 1 introduces the dog and handler team to the equipment and basic skills, such as motivational recalls, ball retrieves, and jumping a series of jumps. Dogs are introduced to the Flyball box. - Dogs should be under control in the presence of other dogs.
CGC (Canine Good Citizen Prep Class) - This prep class will help you and your dog to prepare for the Canine Good Citizen test. Many dog owners choose Canine Good Citizen training as the first step in training their dogs. The Canine Good Citizen Program lays the foundation for other AKC activities such as obedience, agility, tracking, and performance events. As you work with your dog to teach the CGC skills, you'll discover the many benefits and joys of training your dog. Training will enhance the bond between you and your dog. Dogs who have a solid obedience education are a joy to live with-they respond well to household routines, have good manners in the presence of people and other dogs, and they fully enjoy the company of the owner who took the time to provide training, intellectual stimulation, and a high quality life. We sincerely hope that CGC will be only a beginning for you and your dog and that after passing the CGC test, you'll continue training in obedience, agility, tracking, or performance events. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test at the end of the 6 week prep class may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
AGILITY CAMP
This 3 week (once a week for 3 weeks) camp will introduce you and your dog to the sport of Agility. It involves an obstacle course for dogs, including jumps, tunnels, teeter-totters, weave poles, and much more.
Any breed or size of dog, including mixed breeds, can enjoy agility as well as help build confidence, enhance the bond between owner and dog and become a great outlet for energy for many active dogs. Even if you have no intention of competing, this is a fun way for both owners and dogs to learn new skills to use throughout life and by keeping your dog active and choosing activities to burn some energy!! - Previous puppy training class is a prerequisite.
PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN AS FUN AND EXCITING NEW CLASSES WILL BE FORMED!!!
