| BIO & PHILOSOPHY
Tony Wolfe owns and operates Tail Waggin’ Dog Training. In 1994 he got his first dog and trained him to receive the Canine Good Citizen certificate from the American Kennel Club. Since then, Tony has been training dogs as a hobby. Wanting to turn this hobby to a professional level he enrolled in a certification program from Animal Behavior College and graduated in Spring of 2004. He then decided to leave his job in the corporate world to open his own dog training business and has never looked back! He has also completed a course for Pet First Aid for Dogs/Cats from the American Red Cross. Tony is an active member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers), a trainer for North Star Dogs (service dog trainer for autistic children), and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Tony only uses positive motivation methods when teaching owners and their dogs.
Philosophy
Tail Waggin’ Dog Training’s philosophy is that you must guide rather than force the dog into the correct behavior when teaching a new behavior. By using hand and voice commands, this effective communication allows us to create a rewarding relationship. Dog training is supposed to be fun and should not cause stress in you or your dog. My training methods are based on motivation and reward, which makes for happier dogs and people..
